Who are aranha:DESIGN
aranha:DESIGN is a young, enthusiastic web design company, with a unique blend of technical, design and communication skills. Based in Swindon, Wiltshire, we have worked for clients from across the UK and beyond.
Matt has a degree in computer science and has spent 4 years working in computer graphics research. He has also found the time to develop websites for a variety of individuals and organisations - honing his skills on a range of platforms and languages, and developing a light-weight CMS (Content Management System). He also dabbles in development on mobile devices (like the iPhone), photography and graphic design.
He likes rugby and beer.
Jenny has an unusual background in art, chemistry and communications. She has worked on communications for large and small organisations, and is particularly interested in using language and information structure effectively. She has also dabbled in the darker arts of web coding.
She likes tea and chocolate.
Our ethos:
We believe websites should look great and work effectively. Many modern websites exclude potential visitors through unnecessary graphics or animations that also make it harder for people to find the information they need. Others invest a lot of effort in a beautiful, extravagant website design, but not in writing effective content.
Accessibility is important to us, and we work to commonly accepted accessibility standards - maximising the amount of people who can view the website without compromising the style and functionality.
We aim to create interesting, easy-to-use, and elegant websites that take the best of modern web technology but leave out unnecessary distractions.
